The Newport County YMCA offers an exciting and inclusive golf program designed to cater to all skill levels and ages. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced golfer seeking to refine your skills, there’s something for everyone.

Junior PGA Program

Our Junior PGA program provides young golfers with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of golf while emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. Participants receive professional instruction, engage in friendly competitions, and gain the confidence to excel both on and off the course.

Age Groups: 7-17 years old

Skill Levels: Beginner to advanced

Activities: Weekly training sessions, local tournaments, and mentorship from PGA professionals

Golf Clinics for All Ages

The YMCA golf clinics are open to youth, teens, adults, and seniors, offering tailored instruction for each group. These clinics focus on key aspects of the game, including:

Swing mechanics

Clinics are run by experienced instructors and are a fantastic way to improve your game in a supportive environment.

Summer Golf Camp Opportunities

Our summer golf camps are a fun and engaging way for kids and teens to immerse themselves in the game of golf. These week-long camps combine technical instruction with interactive activities, friendly competitions, and teamwork exercises.

Golf+ Program & 90-Minute Golf Simulator Reservation

Experience the ultimate in virtual golfing with our state-of-the-art golf simulator! Whether you’re looking to perfect your swing, enjoy a friendly game, or simply practice in any weather, this 90-minute rental provides a realistic and immersive golfing experience. Please note that each individual must book their own reservation. 8 reservations are allowed per 90 minute rental with 2 simulator bays. To arrange a group rental, please reach out to Orlando at orlandop@newportymca.org.

Fee Structure/Options:

1. Golf+ All Access Monthly Fee- Family Rate $63/month, SP Family Rate $57/month, Individual $46/month – Includes unlimited reservation bookings at no additional cost + one clinic/month with the Y Community Golf Director, Orlando Peace, PGA professional. Must be a YMCA Member.

2. Member Price- To be paid upon arrival $35/person/90 minute session

3. Nonmember Price- To be paid upon arrival $45/person/90 minute session (Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tee time to arrange a guest pass/waiver).

Simulator Includes:

High-Tech Features: Play on world-renowned courses with accurate ball tracking and swing analysis. Simulator will be set up by a golf professional.

Customizable Settings: Adjust for skill levels and preferences for a tailored session.

Comfort and Convenience: Enjoy climate-controlled surroundings and seating for spectators. Bathrooms available within the space.
