CPR/First Aid/AED Course Schedule
Every year, over one million people will have heart attacks in the U.S. In this American Red Cross course, participants will learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart attacks, perform CPR for adults, children, and infants, and how to assist a choking individual. Basic First Aid and AED certification is included.
We will be offering in person (beginning in January) and Blended Learning Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid. Participants must contact Emily Cush at emilyc@newportymca.org prior to registering.
Babysitting Course Schedule
This Safe Sitter Instructor Course is designed for participants ages 11 & up. The course teaches the basics of child care, the business of babysitting, and first aid response. A certificate is issued at the completion of the course.
Please bring a lunch, snacks and drinks for the day; a book will be provided for the class.
Lifeguard Course Schedule
Participants, who are 15 years old and up, and who can pass a swim skills test are trained in the area of personal safety, lifesaving, and water emergencies. Upon completion, participants are certified American Red Cross lifeguards, which includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid.
*All classes and online learning must be attended to earn certification.
