Group Exercise

The Newport County YMCA’s Group Exercise has a comprehensive fitness and wellness schedule that serves the novice to advanced participant. Class offerings include yoga, hip hop, indoor cycling, Pilates mat-based workouts, kick boxing, body sculpting, step and impact workouts. Our instructors are nationally certified by ACSM (American Council of Sports Medicine), ACE (American Council of Exercise) and/or AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America). Their experience ranges from national fitness champions/competitors, certified yoga instructors and professional dance instructors to pharmacists, nurses, teachers, artists and momsAll group exercise classes are FREE to YMCA Members.

Group Exercise Common Fence Point Schedule

CFP is proud to partner with the Newport County YMCA to offer members a second Group Exercise Studio on the northern end of Aquidneck Island (Common Fence Point Community Hall, 933 Anthony Rd).  Each week at CFP we have a full schedule of classes:  Zumba, Zumba Gold, Gentle Yoga, Chair Yoga, HIIT, Hula Hoop, and Body Pump”.  This is open to all members of the Y for free.
