Camp Options

Our Traditional Camp serves children from age 3 through entering Grade 10.

Discovery Camp – Ages 3 & 4 — Children must be potty trained.
Our caring staff of childcare professionals has a wide range of education, experience and training in the early childhood field. We will provide your child with an experience to last a lifetime! Join us at Discovery for a sensational summer of fun. Each week long session has a special theme with built-in interest for young children. We will use our five senses to explore the world around us, including games, arts & crafts, songs, stories, swimming and outside play.

Adventure Camp – Age 5 and/or Entering Kindergarten
This traditional day camp lets the youngest campers experience new adventures through discovery and play. Activities include water games and swimming, outdoor play and archery, arts & crafts, group games and much more. Each week features a different theme!

Explorers, Explorers Sports (1st & 2nd Grade)
Pioneers, Pio Aqua, Pio Sports (3rd & 4th Grade)
Rangers, Rangers Aqua, Rangers Sports (5th & 6th Grade)
A summer camp experience like no other! Campers will explore and develop interests through program activities such as sports, art, archery, adventure course, swimming, and much more! Our Pioneer and Ranger groups have an additional option of registering for Aqua Camp. Our Aqua Camps provide an introduction and refinement to kayaking, boating, beach sport and other aquatic adventures. Campers will enjoy a wide variety of aquatic experiences at local beaches and programs at the Y. All campers must be strong swimmers and must be swim tested without flotation before signing up.

The Adams Experience – Entering 6th through 10th Grade
A summer of outdoor exploration and adventure. In collaboration with Fort Adams, teens get the chance to explore the Historical Fort through land and water. Days are filled with swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and trips to Second Beach. Tours of the fort and underground tunnels are an added bonus for this amazing experience!

C.I.T. (Counselor in Training) – Entering 8th and 10th Grade
This program is designed to give youth an opportunity to support YMCA Camp Programs. Participants must complete an interview process and be selected to take part in this learning experience. Participants will assist Directors and Counselors in the daily duties, complete service learning projects, and help run camp events. An adult mentor will provide support and guidance throughout the length of the program.
